Jim Irwin joined WardsAuto in July 2011 after working previously at the Detroit bureau of The Associated Press and at newspapers in Port Huron, MI, and Huntington, WV. He manages the WardsAuto homepage, produces the daily newsletter, edits staff and correspondent copy, and serves as a judge for Wards 10 Best Engines & Propulsion Systems and Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX. He is a native of Hudson, Ohio, and a graduate of The Ohio State University. He lives in Detroit with his wife Tanya Gazdik, automotive editor for MediaPost and a former Wards staffer.
